Woman Gets Locked Out Of Her Own Car By Her Dog
A woman ended up locked out of her
car for around three hours because her pet pug trapped itself inside by locking the doors.
The
adorable car thief, a dog called Pete, somehow managed to lock his
owner outside the vehicle whilst it was outside her house, meaning that
the woman was forced to wait for three hours until the American
Automobile Association (like the AA, but
American) came to help her get back into the car.
Luckily for us, the whole thing was captured for posterity by the clearly distressed woman's son, Nick Garcia.
Nick lives in San Antonio, Texas, and seems
pretty amused but ultimately unsurprised by the actions of his mother
and her beloved pug Pete.
He shared screenshots of texts from his mum, as well as a pretty funny picture of the mischievous mutt.
The tweets - obviously - went viral. In the first one, Nick said: "So my dog locked my mom out of her car."
He
then followed it up with two photos, one of the cute pupper sitting in
the car looking slightly bemused and clearly with no idea what he's
done.
The
second was of a frantic text exchange that he had with his mother
explaining the situation. He was keen to point out that she'd texted
from her iPad because her phone was stuck inside the car as well as the
dog.
The first text read: "Pete locked me out of my car."
Clearly panicked, Nick's mum Monica then said: "Send AAA PLEASE TO OUR HOUSE."
Well,
eventually someone did call AAA for her, but that was only the start.
Nick then tweeted to confirm that the breakdown - does this count as a
breakdown? - service took three hours to reach her and free the dog from
the vehicle.
It's not clear how they managed to resolve it.
The simple answer would be to put the window through and just replace
it, but there is a chance that any shattered glass could hurt the wee
dog.

What's more important is that thousands of people on the Internet managed to get a decent giggle out of their predicament.
Since
Nick shared his story, more than 420,000 people have 'liked' his
tweets, 95,000 people have retweeted it, and it has had more than 1,300
comments. That's decent going.
What's more, people have been
using the social media platform to complain about their dogs doing the
same thing, to ridicule Monica's situation, and - of course - to share
photos of pugs.
All's well that ends well, I guess.
